On Friday 14th October, I was very privileged to deliver a virtual seminar for the Sydney Southeast Asia Centre drawing on my 8 years of ethnographic fieldwork on Thai BL media. Forming part of the monthly Thailand Social Science Seminar Series co-organised with the Nordic Institute of Asian Studies and New York Southeast Asia Network, my seminar focussed on the first three chapters of my forthcoming book “Boys Love Media in Thailand: Celebrity, Fans, and Transnational Queer Asian Popular Culture.”
