Authenticity of desire

I have been invited to give a brief presentation on my research concerning my research on “regimes of desire” in the Japanese gay media landscape as part of the Markers of Authenticity seminar series at Macquarie University. An interdisciplinary series of events, the seminars seek to explore “the markers of authenticity in human experience of the contemporary world and the past from a wide range of perspectives, asking a range of questions of the world around us, and the past.” The seminars are organised by Malcolm Choat and Rachel Yuen-Collingrindge of the Department of Ancient History, Macquarie University.

The details for the event are below:

November 9, 4:00–6:00 pm, AHH Lvl 5, Board Room: ‘Authenticity of Desire’ with Dr Thomas Baudinette (INTS), Dr Karin Sellberg (Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, UQ) and Dr Chelsea Barnett (Modern History).

There are a number of other upcoming events over the coming months. The details can be found by following this link!
