It is with great pleasure that I announce that I will be taking up the position of Lecturer in Japanese Studies in the Department of International Studies: Languages and Cultures at Macquarie University in Sydney from February 2017!
As part of this move, I will also be joining the Macquarie Japanese Studies Centre, where I will be participating in further developing the Japanese Studies program’s focus on inter-cultural language learning. I will also be contributing to the program’s innovative online coursework (including Australia’s first online degree in Japanese language). This will allow me to continue to explore two areas of teaching about which I have grown increasingly passionate over the past few years (see my teaching philosophy).
This is a very exciting move for me, and I am extremely eager to contribute to the Japanese Studies program and to participate in the innovative teaching and researching which is emerging out of Macquarie University.
Here is a video introduction to my new department and home for the next few years!
