Keynote Lecture on LGBTQ+ Fans of K-pop

jumil-1

I am extremely excited to announce that I am going to be delivering one of two keynote lectures at the forthcoming symposium “K-pop and the West: Media, Fandom, and Transnational Politics,” hosted by the Asia Research Institute at the University of Buffalo. The symposium dates are Friday October 27 and Saturday October 28 (US East Coast Time), and my keynote address will be on the second day.

The keynote represents a revised version of the talk entitled “K-pop Fandom’s Role in Shaping Knowledge of Gender and Sexuality among LGBTQ+ Fans” which I previously gave at an earlier conference and you can find the abstract for the talk via the hyperlink.

The whole symposium is free and open to the public, thanks to the generous support of the Academy of Korean Studies. Virtual attendance via Zoom is available, but you must register in advance via this link.
